Course Description

This five-day advanced handling course is designed to increase the participant’s understanding of the motor parameters required for the use of the upper extremity in functional patterns/activities.   The problems of movement dysfunction in clients with CNS Lesions will be analysed and discussed.

 

Learning Objectives

  • The Participant will have the opportunity to improve his/her ability in the following areas:
    1. The management of both biomechanics and neuromuscular dysfunction in the Upper Extremity.
    1. To increase the participants’ ability to analyse the coordination of the arm with the Trunk and the lower extremities as the primary Base of Support in relation to Functional activities.
    1. To provide a better understanding of the biomechanics constraints interfering with ease and efficiency of movement of the Upper Extremity in adult hemiplegia. and traumatic Brain Injury
    1. To increase the participants ability to create and apply handling strategies necessary for facilitating more normal movement patterns in clients while engaged in functional activities.
    1. To increase the participants ability to integrate and apply forced use management strategies for motor recovery in the upper extremity.

 

HOW TO APPLY and PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION CONDITIONS

To apply to a course/seminar/workshop, please fill in the on-line form or send an email to info@fizioterapijaljubljana.si. 50% of the fee must be paid within 8 days after you send your application, after that a pro forma invoice will be sent to your address. In other case you will not be considered a serious participant and your application will not be valid. The rest of the fee must be paid no later than 14 days before the course begins.

 

Cancellation by the participant leads to the following cancellation procedure:

Cancellation up until 30 days before the start of the course, 10% of the fee is due.

Cancellation 29-20 days before the start of the course, 30% of the fee is due.

Cancellation 19-10 days before the start of the course, 50% of the fee is due.

Cancellation 10-8 days before the start of the course, 80% of the fee is due.

Cancellation within 7 days before the start of the course, the full fee is due.
