Bobath basic course description
Adult Neurological Conditions (stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis etc.)
The basic Bobath course for adults with neurological symptoms is split into three modules over a period of 3-5 months.
The 1st , 2nd and 3rd module lasts for 5 consecutive days and comprises theoretical lectures, laboratory practice (on participants), and neurological patient daily treatment in pairs, supervised by the tutor and the tutor’s demonstration of assessment and treatment for an adult neurological patient.
Between the modules there is the independent work of each participant. It corresponds a clinically based project (work with a neurological patient – case report) and a short essay, which is presented in the 3rd module.
The Bobath Basic Course Aims are:
To offer the participants the opportunity to acquire an understanding of the philosophy and the neuro-physiological basis of the Bobath concept.
To develop the participants’ skills to use the Bobath concept with the assessment and treatment for patients with neurological dysfunction (stroke, traumatic brain injury, MS etc.).
To develop the participants’ practical skills as well as the ability to observe, analyze and facilitate movement.
To provide the participants with the opportunity to develop the skills of clinical reasoning and problem solving when treating a neurological patient.
To develop the ability to describe and measure the neurological dysfunction and the influence of the rehabilitation intervention based on the Bobath concept (physiotherapy, work therapy).
To connect the current neuro-physiological theory based on professional evidence and the clinical practice.
HOW TO APPLY and PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
To apply to a course/seminar/workshop, please fill in the on-line form or send an email to info@fizioterapijaljubljana.si. 30% of the fee must be paid within 8 days after you send your application, after that a pro forma invoice will be sent to your address. In other case you will not be considered a serious participant and your application will not be valid. The rest of the fee must be paid no later than 7 days before the course begins.
Cancellation by the participant leads to the following cancellation procedure:
- Cancellation up until 30 days before the start of the course, 10% of the fee is due.
- Cancellation 29-20 days before the start of the course, 30% of the fee is due.
- Cancellation 19-10 days before the start of the course, 50% of the fee is due.
- Cancellation 10-8 days before the start of the course, 80% of the fee is due.
- Cancellation within 7 days before the start of the course, the full fee is due.
